The Talented Tenth

Recognizing an under-representation of minorities in South Carolina’s health care field, The Talented Tenth established an advisory council of experts to advise and assist in the establishment of diversity and inclusion agendas for the emerging USC School of Medicine-Greenville. The proposed “South Carolina Diversity Leaders Initiative Health Professions Advisory Council” seeks to help health care educational institutions define and fulfill their social mission in the area of diversity and inclusiveness and to create a medical community that reflects the overall diversity of the citizens it serves.
