Why Furman? I chose Furman because it was where I felt most appreciated as an individual student. I did not feel like I was just another student touring that was just going to be another number. I felt that I would be valued as my own person. Since coming to Furman this has only been reinforced. And although my older sister went to Furman and is only a year older, I still feel known as my own person. I wanted somewhere that would help me grow as a person and Furman has helped do this.

Which professor has made the biggest impact on you while at Furman, and why? I have had many professors make an impact on me but the professor that has had the biggest impact is my advisor, Dr. Liz Bouzarth. I first got to know her when she led my May Experience and then through class and seeing her around the math department. I then asked her to be my advisor because she would tirelessly help me make decisions and give me advice, both in academics and my personal life. She has become like a mom to me at Furman, being there for me all the time and being my biggest advocate. She has truly made Furman special and a place where I love to be.

What is your favorite Furman memory? My favorite Furman memory is LDOC, or the last day of classes, freshmen year. It can be a stressful time because it is right before exams but Furman helps because they try to make this day enjoyable by bringing in different fun activities for students to participate in. I spent the day with 3 of my best friends just blowing off steam before having to study for finals in the following days.

What is your favorite thing spot/activity to do in Greenville? Getting Pink Mama's Ice Cream with my friends.

In my spare time I like to... Play soccer and spend time with my friends.
