Since 2021, Amy Keely is the Riley Institute’s director of the South Carolina Afterschool Leaders Empowered (SCALE) Fellowship, an initiative that equips afterschool and summer learning leaders from across the state with the tools to grow and improve their programs. Amy also provides counsel and oversight of the institute's White-Riley-Peterson Policy Fellowship.

Prior to joining the institute, Amy worked in Greenville’s nonprofit sector for nearly 23 years at Communities In Schools of Greenville, creating and implementing afterschool and summer programs, writing grants, and developing training and technical assistance for school-based site coordinators across the county. She began working in summer enrichment programs during her college years and realized early on the value of these experiences in building relationships and shaping students’ opportunities.

Amy is a 2023 Riley Fellow with the Diversity Leaders Initiative and a member of Leadership Greer, Class 34. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Western Carolina University and was a recipient of the Young Alumna Award.
