Furman faculty and staff enrolled in the Furman Medical plan through Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) have access to the BCBS My Health Toolkit (MHT). This resource is an online hub, offered by BCBS, that provides easy access to all the important details regarding the health plan for enrolled employees and their covered dependents.  MHT provides the following:

  • Ways to find a network doctor or health care facility.
  • Details about your medical claims.
  • What your health plan covers.
  • How to get a new member ID card, or a virtual one.
  • Medical spending accounts, if applicable.
  • Health and wellness resources.

If you register for the My Health Toolkit during the month of August, or if you are already registered, you’ll be entered for a chance to win one of 10, $25 Visa gift cards!  Gift cards only available to Furman faculty and staff members enrolled in the Furman BCBS Medical plan.

To register for a My Health Toolkit account AND be automatically entered into the gift card drawing visit www.SouthCarolinaBlues.com/links/register to create your profile, or download the My Health Toolkit app for Apple or Google and follow the prompts.

  • You’ll need your member ID located on your insurance card or the subscribing member’s Social Security number and date of birth.
  • If you share a health plan with family members age 16 or older, they may register for individual accounts.
  • Personalize your account (manage your contact preferences; choose how you want to receive information: text, mail or email)
