New York City public schools ban access to AI tool that could help students cheat

News that New York City Public Schools will ban AI tool ChatGPT on concerns over widespread cheating has unleashed another wave of coverage about the technology. Furman University’s Darren Hick, a philosophy professor, was among the first to sound the alarm about the chatbot capable of churning out seemingly credible essays and other materials in mere seconds. Hick’s comments appear on CNN Business, Somag News, and NBC’s Today.com.
