Furman University’s Glen Halva-Neubauer was quoted in an article about abortion rights and representation in The Greenville News. His comments were recorded in response to a May 2023 Winthrop poll, which showed 37% of South Carolina residents support a ban on most abortions after six weeks, while 43% of residents polled oppose it. Halva-Neubauer, chair of the Department of Politics and International Affairs, defended the veracity of the poll.
