In a Baylor Magazine story about leadership, Furman University President Elizabeth Davis is one of four executives profiled. Davis, Furman’s 12th president and a 1984 Baylor alumna, spoke about coalescing a leadership team when she arrived at Furman in 2014. She also commented on the importance of mentorship and respecting students’ spiritual journeys. Prior to her installation as Furman’s first woman president, she served as executive vice president and provost at her alma mater, the first woman at Baylor to hold the title. Davis received a Ph.D. in accounting from Duke University in 1992.
