In this issue of Furman magazine, we say a fond farewell to Nancy Cooper who is retiring after more than 35 years as a mentor and best friend to thousands of Furman students. This issue also features Sali Christeson ’07, founder of Argent and the new power suit; how student work to collect and map field data has made Greenville safer and more equitable for pedestrians, cyclists and public transit riders; and what happened on a spring day in 1973 that led Dennis Zeiger ’74 to create the most recognized icon of the Furman brand.
