Preston Cole ’16 debuts at PGA Championship

Furman University alumnus and golf standout Preston Cole ’16 is set to tee off this week at one of golf’s four major championships, the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky. To get there, Cole, lead assistant professional at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, tied for 8th at the PGA Professional Championship in Texas. In a video posted on Vimeo, Cole spoke with PGA Tour member Johnson Wagner about what it means to play in his first major. Charlotte NBC station WCNC also aired a story about Cole. On the PGA website, Cole is profiled along with the 20 other players representing the PGA of America.
At Furman, Cole earned All-Southern Conference and All-American Scholar honors.
