Furman, Lutheran Services Carolinas hold program about refugees

Furman University and Lutheran Services Carolinas hosted a program on campus May 3 about refugee resettlement and placement. Furman’s Kate Kaup, James B. Duke Professor of Asian Studies and Politics and International Affairs, spoke at the event in addition to a Sudanese refugee now settled in Greenville, and Emily Rundall of LSC, a volunteer organization which has resettled 1,100 refugees in the state since 2021. WYFF News 4 covered the event in several broadcasts.
