We have some possibilities for you to explore and consider! You can excel in any number of fields with the skillset you will develop and hone.

Our students complete their degree with polished skills in critical thinking, analysis, and communication. Students who study sociology enhance their ability to understand the structures of society and the manner in which those structures restrain and construct individuals. Our research heavy approach provides the tools for students to synthesize information, interpret data, and clearly convey their evaluation.

Graduates of our program have pursued medical school, law school, social work, journalism, academia, research, administration, marketing, and sales.

63% of our majors are double majors, combining sociology with psychology, religion, studio art, and philosophy to name a few.

Some of our majors go on to continue their education, attending graduate school at UofSC, Clemson, University of Pennsylvania, NYU, Notre Dame, and Emory.

In addition to our standard sociology courses, we also offer concentrations for those who wish to pursue criminal justice, social work, hospital administration, or nursing. Furthermore, our interdisciplinary approach combined with student research rooted provides the framework for success in any number of professions.
