Upon declaring an English major, you will be able to choose an advisor who specializes in your concentration, whether that be literature or writing. Your advisor will provide you with advice applicable to your studies, your future, and your classes. While getting to know you, your advisor will provide direction when choosing your internships, helping you narrow your interests and develop your skills. By the end of your education at Furman, you will have a mentor who will always be there for guidance.
