Community Day Workshop to Gather Input for Strategic Plan

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I write to share that we are beginning the process of developing Furman’s next strategic plan, which will drive Furman forward over the next five to ten years. The planning process will provide an opportunity for us to come together as a community to chart our future.

The Senior Administrative Team and I met recently with our consulting partner, Credo, to discuss the framework and timeline for the planning process. We are excited about what emerged from this early discussion and are now developing a process through which we can have meaningful input from all members of our community.

To kick it off, we have scheduled an institution-wide Community Day on Thursday, February 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. You are invited to participate in this planning workshop designed to gather your thoughts about Furman’s future. The workshop will be held in Timmons Arena and a reception with light food and beverage will follow. We will collect student input later in the semester.

I know this is a big time commitment when we’re all very busy. Please confer with your supervisors if needed to help free your calendars for this important event, so that your voice can be heard in the development of our plan. Register in advance here.
