GREENVILLE, S.C.—The Furman University Singers, one of America’s premier collegiate choral ensembles, will travel to Europe this summer for their 18th biennial concert tour abroad.

Prior to their departure, the Singers will perform Sunday, July 20 at the 11:15 a.m. service at Atlanta’s Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. Later that day, the group will perform a 7 p.m. concert at Shallowford Presbyterian Church in Atlanta.
During their concerts, the Singers will perform works by European composers Mozart, Haydn, Brahms and Bruckner, as well as pieces by American composers Ralph Manuel, Morten Lauridsen and Kirke Mechem. The group will also perform American folk songs and spirituals by Ronald Staheli, John Ratledge, Paul Basler, Moses Hogan and Brazeal Dennard.
The group’s concert venues in Europe include the Jesuitenkirche in Lucerne, Switzerland, Salzburger Dom in Salzburg, Austria and Mátyás Church in Budapest, Hungary.
Adam Pajan, a 2008 Furman graduate from Simpsonville, will be the organist/accompanist for the tour.
