Phokus is the Furman University chapter of Bacchus & Gamma, a peer health education organization. Phokus stands for Promoting Healthy Options through Knowledge, Understanding, and Service.
Our Mission Statement: Peer health educators serving Furman students by promoting and role modeling positive health choices. We hope to accomplish our mission through listening, giving presentations, advocating healthy options in a nonjudgmental way, and promoting other health related activities.
Phokus offers presentations for residence halls and organizations on a variety of health related topics.
